A 17 year old who was the second driver of a car fleeing Black Hawk County Deputies has been arrested, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Deputies attempted to pull the vehicle over around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of West Sixth Street and Grant Avenue. The car, however, refused to pull over until it abruptly pulled to a halt where the first driver and a passenger got out and fled on foot. While deputies chased them, the 17 year old hopped in the driver’s seat and pulled away. Deputies were eventually able to stop the vehicle and the 17 year old was taken into custody. He was determined to be drunk at the time. He has been charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Interference. The other two remain at large at this time.
