A 16 year old has been arrested after allegedly shooting a man while he worked on his car on Wednesday evening, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Eric Hayes has been charged with first degree Robbery, Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, Intimidation with a Weapon and Going Armed. He has been charged as an adult. Police say the victim and a woman were working on a vehicle in an alley off Dawson Street around 6:30pm when Hayes and another person came up behind them and demanded they empty their pockets. When the man told the robbers he did not have anything Hayes, armed with a long gun, allegedly shot him in the left arm and chest. The victim was taken to Allen Hospital before being transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
