Three teenagers in Waterloo have been detained after an alleged gun battle on Sunday night, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Witnesses reported people shooting and fleeing in the 1200 block of West Third Street. After arriving on scene, police chased down three suspects and seized two handguns. The suspects, all 16 years old, were charged as juveniles with Carrying Weapons and Interference While Armed. Nobody was injured in the shootout but two vehicles were struck.
