Two teenagers were taken into custody Monday after leading Cedar Falls Police on a chase in a stolen vehicle. Police witnessed the stolen vehicle in the business district of Highway 58 and Viking Road. They attempted to pull the vehicle over in the area of Ridgeway Avenue and Highway 58 but the vehicle attempted to elude the officer. The vehicle allegedly sideswiped another motorist in that intersection of Highway 58 and Greenhill Road before heading into Waterloo. Stop sticks were deployed there which brought the chase to a close in the area of Fletcher and University Avenue. The occupants then fled on foot. Both were eventually taken into custody. Charges include Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Eluding, Reckless Driving, Unlawful Use of a Credit Card, Interference with Official Acts, Possession of Marijuana, and various driving violations.
