TeleCom CEO Sentenced to Prison

A telecommunications CEO from Jesup has been sentenced to more than three years in federal prison for stealing from his employer, according to KIMT. 42 year old Tony Lang, who briefly attended Wartburg, was the CEO of Heartland Technology when he stole more than $600,000 from the company between January of 2017 and January of 2023. He pleaded guilty to one count of Wire Fraud in April and has now been sentenced to 38 months in federal prison. He must also pay more than $660,000 in restitution. Once his prison sentence is complete he will also have to serve three years of supervised release.
