A Heat Advisory has been issued for the broadcast area from 11am-8pm on Friday, June 29th as temperatures are forecast to rise into the mid 90’s and along with high dew points will cause the heat index to peak around 105 degrees.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location, and remember that heat stroke is an emergency, where medical attention will be needed.
