The Other Place is planning to open up a location in downtown Cedar Falls, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The OP closed their original location on the Hill in December citing an inability to get enough staff for day shifts. The owners of the OP closed on a location in downtown on December 13th. They bought the location from Strickler Properties. David Strickler of Strickler Properties is the president of L&N Transportation Services, which previously occupied a downtown building. It is unclear when the new restaurant might open.
