Waterloo Schools are closed on Wednesday. Director of School and Community Relations Tara Thomas sent us this e-mail.
There will be NO SCHOOL today, Wednesday, January 29. Last evening, there was a threat made on social media that referenced some of our schools. The police and school staff worked throughout the night to investigate this social media threat. While we made great progress in resolving the issue; there is still additional investigation that needs to be completed prior to students returning to school. Out of an abundance of caution and to allow the police to complete their investigation, we are canceling school for today. Please know the safety of our students is our first priority. Thank you for your patience.
