An Alden woman led Cedar Falls Public Safety officers on a high speed chase early Thursday morning, according to KWWL. Officers attempted to stop a white 2021 Hyundai Elantra at Hudson Road and Viking Road shortly before 2:00 a.m. but the car fled south on Hudson Road. The chase allegedly reached speeds of over 90 mph at times. At Hudson Road and Highway 63, the Elantra went into the ditch before continuing south on Highway 63. The car eventually stopped at Highway 63 and Griffith Road and the driver was arrested. 20 year old Heavynne Ferris has been charged with felony Eluding, Reckless Driving, and other driving related offenses.
