The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Main Street Program recently accepted the resignation of Executive Director, Travis Toliver. Toliver will assume the position of Vice President of the Ames Chamber of Commerce and Executive Director of their Main Street Program, effective August 5, 2024.
The Waverly Chamber Main Street Program will begin the search for a new Executive Director immediately and seeks a candidate with strong leadership, communication and organizational skills to effectively connect with stakeholders. The community and membership can expect the organization to carry out operations as usual during the search.
“Travis’s vision and collaborative approach have fostered a spirit of unity and progress within Waverly,” said Bob Buckingham, 2024 Board Chair of the organization’s Board of Directors. “We are grateful for his leadership and wish him all the best in his new role.”
During his tenure, Toliver has been instrumental in numerous initiatives and projects which have significantly contributed to the economic growth and vitality of Waverly. Highlights include helping Waverly businesses successfully manage through the DOT Hwy.3/Bremer Ave. reconstruction project and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It has been an honor to serve the Waverly community and work alongside such dedicated individuals and businesses,” said Toliver. “I am proud of what we have accomplished together and excited about the future of the Waverly Chamber Main Street Program.”
