Tornadoes again struck the state Wednesday night, including one near Eldora. Other touchdowns were made in Poweshiek County near the town of Deep River where one woman was injured as she got caught outside as her dogs went to the bathroom. She receive some cuts and bruises but refused to be taken to the hospital. Another tornado was seen near Kalona touching down in a rural area. Several other minor tornadoes and funnel clouds were spotted throughout the state. The severe weather surprised many meteorologists who foresaw little to no threat earlier in the day.
