Flash flooding has been reported in Floyd and Chickasaw counties. Iowa’s News Now estimates that in a 12 hour period just north and west of Nashua received 7.1” while just north and east of Nashua got a whopping 9.2”. If you encounter a roadway covered in water remember: turn around, don’t drown. It doesn’t take much water to sweep away a vehicle.
