Waterloo Schools has announced that they will be holding seven town hall meetings regarding the proposed new high school’s November 5th ballot measure. The public called for a vote on the $165 million project use of the 1% local option sales tax. The school says if the measure is passed and authorized property taxes would not go up. The proposed school would combine East and West High Schools and would be built on the same campus as the Waterloo Career Center. The new school would house 10th through 12th grades. The town hall meetings will be held tomorrow from 5-6:30 at George Washington Carver Academy, next Tuesday from 5-6:30 at Bunger Middle School, Thursday, October 3rd from 5-6:30 at the Waterloo Career Center, Monday, October 7th from 5-6:30 at Hoover Middle School, Thursday, October 17th from 6:30-8 at Antioch Baptist Church, Monday, October 21st from 6:30-8 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, and Monday, October 28th from 6:30-8 at Hope City Church.
