Travis Fulton Commits Suicide in Jail

A Parkersburg man indicted on charges of child pornography and domestic violence earlier this year has died in the Linn County Jail, according to KWWL. 44 year old Travis Fulton is believed to have hanged himself in the dormitory style cell block. He was found unresponsive around 4:00 in the morning. Staff immediately began performing lifesaving measures. Once an ambulance arrived more advanced medical care was provided. Fulton was pronounced dead at 5am at Mercy Medical Center. Fulton was a well known MMA fighter, holding the record for most bouts in the sport’s history. According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette Fulton had allegedly photographed a girl under the age of 18 over the course of several years and had enticed her to engage in sexually explicit conduct. He also possessed or attempted to possess visual depiction of a minor 12 years or younger engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He faced up to 70 years in prison.
