Waverly Trees Forever is sponsoring a tree replacement program again this fall. The program objective is to continue to restore Waverly’s tree canopy after trees have been removed on private property.
Any Waverly Utilities customer may take advantage of the program if they have had any tree removed on their property due to storm damage, insects and disease.
Trees may be purchased by the public at Tiedt Nursery or Wells Hollow. The program is a 50% rebate up to $100 off the cost of each tree. For example: a $100 tree would get a $50 rebate, a $150 tree would get a $75 rebate, and a $250 tree would get a $100 rebate.
Some tree species are not available with this replacement program.
Due to limited funding, there will be a maximum of 15 trees rebated this year. Each resident may only purchase two rebated trees per address. Trees are not to be planted in the right-of-way at this time.
The dates of the program are September 1- November 14. There will be no rebated sales after Friday, November 15, 2024.
