Tree Workers Rescued

Waterloo firefighters had to rescue two tree workers in a boom truck on Saturday, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The workers were in the 1100 block of Mitchell Avenue around 4:00 in the afternoon when a branch they were cutting fell on the bucket’s emergency shutoff. Firefighters used a ladder to reach the tree workers. They then hooked them to a harness and belay rope so they could climb down safely. No injuries were reported.
