Trial for Man Accused of Exposing Himself in Women’s Bathroom

The trial for a man accused of exposing himself in a women’s dorm bathroom at the University of Northern Iowa is continuing, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Wednesday the victim identified 22 year old Tre Nimmers as the man who ripped open the shower curtain as she shampooed her hair. The woman says Nimmers was fondling himself before running off when she screamed. The defense claims that Nimmers did not fit the initial description, which called for a man with a slim build and no facial hair. Nimmers had a beard and an athletic build. Noehren Hall, where the incident took place did not have security cameras but Nimmers girlfriend testified that he had taken a walk through the dorm because he used to live there when he was a student and when someone asked him for ID he got scared and hid in a bathroom. Closing arguments are expected in the trial today.
