A Charles City man will go to trial after allegedly forging nearly $17,000 worth of checks, according to KIMT. 41 year old Ryan Vaughn has been charged with first degree Theft, 10 counts of Forgery, and fifth degree Theft. Prosecutors say that Vaughn forged the signature of a 66 year old on 10 checks between August 16th and October 4th of last year. The amount of the checks totaled $16,850. Vaughn is accused of depositing that money into his own account. Trial is scheduled to begin on April 2nd.
