Trial Relocated for Alleged Killer of State Trooper

The man who allegedly shot and killed an Iowa State Trooper in Grundy Center has had his trial relocated, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The trial for 42 year old Michael Lang has been moved to the Hamilton County Courthouse in Webster City. Lang’s lawyers asked for the change due to Lang’s status in the community, Sgt. Jim Smith’s status as a law enforcement officer and pretrial publicity. The prosecution did not challenge the motion.
