Trial has been scheduled for the now former Waterloo Police Officer whose girlfriend was killed when he allegedly crashed his motorcycle while drunk last summer, according to KWWL. Keaton Northup will go to trial on January 13th after being charged with two counts of Vehiclular Homicide. Northup was allegedly going over 100mph in a 45mph zone of I-380 when he crashed in June of last year. In the crash Northup’s girlfriend, Jenna Mills, was killed. Northup’s blood alcohol content was measured at .292, more than three times the legal limit to drive. Northup resigned from the police force this past June, after he was formally charged.
