A Tripoli man was arrested last week for allegedly assaulting the driver of another vehicle. The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52 year old Tracy Buchholz on Thursday for the incident on Monday. Buchholz is accused of using a tractor to block an oncoming vehicle from passing by in the 1500 block of Midway Avenue, near Tripoli. He then allegedly approached the other vehicle and assaulted the driver. The victim in this case was a witness that testified against Buchholz in an August trial in which Buchholz pleaded guilty and was sentenced to prison. He is currently out of prison on an appeal bond. For the current incident Buchholz was charged with 3rd degree Harassment, Simple Assault Not Causing Injury, and Tampering with a Witness or Juror. He was released from jail on a $2,000 cash bond.
