A pickup truck collided with an Amish horse and buggy in Floyd County Tuesday afternoon sending six to the hospital, according to KIMT. Around 3:40 p.m. a pickup truck driven by 66 year old Jim Whitmarsh of Charles City allegedly ran into the back of the buggy near Colwell. The six people inside the buggy, 32 year old Lavern Stauffer, 27 year old Teresa Stauffer, and four children ages six, four, two, and a baby, were all ejected. They were taken to Floyd County Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. The collision remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
