The latest coronavirus numbers for the state of Iowa show that 672,558 individuals have been tested to this point. 70,537 have tested positive. 50,363 have now recovered while 1,170 have died. Locally, Bremer County has 153 active cases. Butler County has 26 active cases. Floyd County has 48. Chickasaw County has 58. Fayette County has 66. Buchanan County has 54. Black Hawk County is reporting 4,023 positive PCR tests and 708 positive antibody tests. 3,078 have now recovered while 78 have died.
Wartburg College currently has 67 positive coronavirus cases. There are now 68 people in isolation while 101 are in quarantine. The University of Northern Iowa is reporting during the time period between August 31st and September 6th they administered 196 tests. 45 of those tests came back positive for a positivity rate at nearly 23%. Bremer County as a whole currently has a positivity rate just south of 19%. Black Hawk County’s positivity rate is at 10.3%.
