Two Waterloo residents have been arrested for allegedly stealing air conditioning units, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Neighbors called police at around 2:15 a.m. Monday to report a suspicious van parked behind 2310 Falls Avenue. When police arrived on scene they allegedly found cutting tools and a cart behind the van. They also noticed the space where two central air conditioning units had been behind the building. They then went to 208 Cottage Grove Avenue where they found a dismantled air conditioner. 37 year old Michael Spore and 40 year old Amanda Frisbey were both taken into custody and charged with second degree Criminal Mischief and second degree Theft. Frisbey is currently awaiting trial for allegedly stealing items from a Washburn storage unit in March and for allegedly stealing guns from a home in January.
