Two Rescued from a Jet Ski on the Cedar

Two people on a jet ski had to be rescued from the Cedar River in Cedar Falls on Saturday, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. The jet skiers entered the river at the boat ramp at Island Park and headed upstream before experiencing engine problems. They became concerned that they would not be able maneuver their way back to the ramp before the current pulled them to the dam. Cedar Falls Fire Rescue launched a Zodiac boat and the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office dispatched a flat-bottom jon boat. The Cedar Falls crew found the jet ski and was able to bring it ashore. No injuries were reported.
