An aircraft crash in Floyd County on Sunday night saw the pilot airlifted to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, according to KIMT. The pilot was flying an unregistered ultralight paraglider at around 8:45 Sunday night when he lost control while trying to avoid a powerline north of Charles City. The name of the pilot and his condition have not been released to the public. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation but they say charges are not likely to be filed.
