UNI Athletics is planning to renovate and renew the UNI-Dome with a three phase, $50 million campaign. The first phase already has begun with the opening of the Van G. Miller Family Charitable Foundation Meeting Room. The first phase will also include replacing the fabric roof, reconstructing the west entrance and concourse, and providing new and expanded suites. Phase two will include bowl upgrades and structural improvements along with resurfacing the indoor track. New seating, wider aisles, handrails and greater ADA seating along with new lighting will be included in this phase. The final phase will include updates to the UNI-Dome sound system and visual identity. The university says the project will be primarily privately funded with multiple naming opportunities available.
