A UNI wrestler has been arrested after an altercation with his girlfriend and two others last week, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police were called to an apartment at West 27th Street on September 1st. 22 year old Christian Minto had allegedly been in an argument with his girlfriend over a cellphone. The girlfriend allegedly took the phone and ran out of the building. Minto is accused of chasing her down and pushing her to the ground. Another woman tried to step in but Minto allegedly threw her to the ground. Then a man tried to break up the altercation but Minto took him down and began fighting him. Minto has been charged with one count of Domestic Assault Causing Injury and two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury. He has been released pending trial. Minto is originally from Cape Coral, Florida and wrestled at NIACC before transferring to UNI.
