A counselor at Hoover Middle School in Waterloo has been let go by the school after his third OWI, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 47 year old Roshawn Berry was found passed out in his car in the parking lot of LJ’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill on February 10th. As Waterloo Police officers were en route Berry woke up and drove away. Police found him parked in the middle of the access road next to the Yesway just a couple blocks away. He blew a .193, more than double the limit to drive. He had also been convicted of OWI in 2012 and 2018. Earlier this month he was caught driving with a suspended or revoked license. As part of the separation agreement with the school Berry will be paid his salary for the rest of this school year and will keep his health insurance through June.
