A Hudson woman suffered life threatening injuries after falling out of a UTV near Westgate on Saturday morning. 39 year old Shawn Phillips of Hudson was driving north on T Avenue near 90th Street just after 11:30 Saturday morning. The passenger side door blew open and Phillips’ passenger, Cara Conroy, attempted to pull the door closed but fell from the vehicle. She was initially taken to MercyOne Hospital in Oelwein but was later flown to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. The incident remains under investigation.
