On Saturday at 8:45 p.m Cedar Falls Police and Fire were dispatched to the report of an accident involving a pickup truck and a Polaris Ranger two seat utility vehicle bearing a snow plow. The preliminary investigation indicated that the UTV had been out clearing snow and was returning home. The UTV was traveling east bound on Lone Tree Road and attempted a left hand turn onto Cypress Avenue turning into the path of the west bound pickup truck. The sole occupant of the UTV sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Allen Hospital. The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
