Cedar Falls Public Safety is investigating alleged vandalism at two schools Wednesday night into Thursday. Cedar Ridge Christian School, formerly known as Waterloo Christian and now housed in the old Cedar Falls High School, posted several security photos and videos to their Facebook page that show two individuals on the school campus. According to Ryan Hall, the Head of the School, the pair visited the campus on three occasions and on each occasion considerable damage was discovered to auxiliary buildings. Hall is seeking to talk to the individuals to understand their actions and work toward restoring what has been broken. A brand new playground at Hansen Elementary that had not even opened yet appears to have suffered fire damage. It is unclear if the same individuals from the Cedar Ridge are responsible for the damage at Hansen. Anyone with information or further security camera footage, especially from West Eighth Street is encouraged to contact the authorities or the schools.
