Vehicle Stopped After Shots Fired

Police arrested a man after a Sunday morning shooting, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Neighbors called 911 to report shots fired around 11:35 Sunday morning in the 900 block of Oneida Street. Officers say they witnessed a Mercedes speeding out of the area. They were able to stop the vehicle after a short chase. Inside the vehicle they found spent shell casings. They also found a 9mm handgun that had allegedly been dumped during the chase. 35 year old Norris McFarland Jr. was taken into custody and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Driving While Barred.
