A Charles City man was injured after hitting a semi in Chickasaw County Thursday afternoon, according to KIMT. 40 year old Travis Ihrig was traveling eastbound on Highway 24 around 2:40pm when he crossed the center line. His vehicle struck the dual wheels of a westbound semi driven by 38 year old Sean Brophy of Elma. Ihrig’s vehicle then hit the semi trailer before hitting the cable barrier and several posts on the north side of the road. Ihrig was taken to MercyOne New Hampton Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
