People across the state of Iowa are banding together, as a show of support for the shooting victims and the city of Orlando.
On Sunday night, several dozen gathered outside Belle’s Basix, which is a gay bar and nightclub in Cedar Rapids.
Several community leaders, including an imam at the Islamic Center of Cedar Rapids, spoke at the prayer vigil.
They offered their prayers for victims, while urging people to unite against hatred following the shooting that killed 50 people and injured 53 others.
