A new voter ID law for the state of Iowa is about to come into effect. The law requires some form of legal identification, such as a driver’s license, to be presented at polling places. The state has started mailing out new paper voter ID cards to those who do not have an Iowa driver’s license or who are not in the Iowa DOT system.
Bremer County Auditor Shelly Wolf explains how the new mailed ID’s will work:
Mailed ID’s will not require photos. At the beginning of 2018, ID’s will be required at all elections in the state.
