The Waverly-Shell Rock Community School District and Waverly Child Care & Preschool have announced a new partnership aimed at expanding early learning opportunities for families. Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, the district’s four-year-old Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program will be located at the Waverly Child Care & Preschool facility on West Bremer Avenue. The collaboration will bring together three-year-old preschool, four-year-old preschool, childcare, and before- and after-school care in one location. District leaders say the partnership will make early childhood education more convenient for families while helping children transition smoothly into kindergarten.
