The Waverly City Council has unanimously voted to follow through with plans to replace the water mains along the city’s main street. The construction is to take place during the Iowa Department of Transportation’s reconstruction of the thoroughfare in the next two construction seasons. While it is not clear what the construction will mean for Waverly homes and businesses, city officials felt that replacing the mains while Bremer Avenue is being worked on presented a good opportunity.
