Waterloo Schools will purchase 2,000 Chromebooks for students in grades one through five, according to KWWL. The school board recently approved the purchase. Previously students in grades six through 12 were issued a Chromebook in order to do online learning. The district used federal CARES act funding to make the purchase the computers that can be taken home. Students will be issued a computer whether class is held in person or virtually when school gets back underway in August. District leaders are still finalizing technology solutions for preschoolers and kindergarteners.
