Waterloo Councilwoman Arrested for Theft

A Waterloo City Councilmember has been arrested for Theft in Des Moines, according to KWWL. Nia Wilder is a councilmember from Ward 3. She has been charged with 4th degree Theft after allegedly erasing $420 worth of items from her Walmart App but attempting to leave the store with the merchandise. She was stopped by Loss Prevention Services and allegedly admitted to the crime. She was booked into the Polk County Jail and has since been released.
