The FBI’s annual Uniform Crime Reports for 2016 reveals that, while violent crime in Iowa is slowly on the rise, it has actually gone down in Waterloo.
Waterloo Chief of Police Dan Trelka shares why the he believes the violent crime rate has gone down.
According to Trelka violent crime in Waterloo has gone down around 33%, vandalism is down 65%, and disorderly conduct calls are down 90% since 2009. And, as he says, “The best is yet to come.”
