A Waterloo man who escaped a residential facility last year has been sentenced to two more years in prison, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 30 year old Chaston Fox fled the facility on October 1st of last year after he was asked to provide a urine sample for drug testing. The staff say they smelled marijuana on him. Fox was scheduled to be released from custody on December 31st. He stayed at large until December 5th when he allegedly threatened to shoot people at an apartment. Officers with the Waterloo Police Department’s tactical team talked Fox into surrendering, at which point they found marijuana on him. Fox has now been sentenced to two years and three months in prison after being convicted of Escape from Federal Custody. He will also have to serve three years of supervised release following his prison time. He is currently awaiting trial for drug charges in connection with the December incident.
