A Waterloo man was found with marijuana when he was arrested for making false statements while purchasing a firearm, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 22 year old Adaris Hawkins was arrested for charges of Carrying Weapons and Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Deliver. He was also detained on federal charges of False Statements During a Firearm Purchase and Drug User in Possession of a Firearm. Hawkins said the guns were for him when he purchased two 9mm Glock Model 17s and a 9mm Glock Model 23 in October. Police allege the guns were for other people. A 9mm with an extended magazine was found on the floor of the vehicle when the arrest of Hawkins was made. He also was fined in February for the theft of a high capacity Glock magazine and weapons lights from Scheels.
