A Waterloo man has been convicted of first degree Murder in the killing of Cortavius Benford in 2022, according to KWWL. Savion Wilson was found guilty for the crime on Wednesday. He killed Benford at an apartment on Palmer Drive in Waterloo. First degree Murder carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole in the state of Iowa.
