Waterloo Return to School Plan

Waterloo Schools have released their plan to return to school next month. At this time the district is planning to start in-person instruction the week of August 24th, however thy may do a staggered start for various grade levels throughout the first week. High schools may use a combination of in-person and remote learning. While it is not recommended, parents who would like their children to participate only in virtual learning can do so by completing an application process. District devices will be provided to all students. The district will require masks or face shields for all staff and students. Plastic desk shields will also be utilized. Other safety precautions include social distancing as much as possible, increased cleaning, some meals eaten in classrooms, hand washing, altered arrivals and dismissals, and staggered bell schedules. Staff will also have daily pre-screenings and temperature checks. Full final details will be released in August.
