Waterloo police are investigating a Saturday morning robbery and assault at a local convenience store. Police were called the B & B East, 1615 Bishop Ave., around 6:30 a.m. on a report that a male dressed in all black clothing had entered the store, assaulted the female clerk and took an undisclosed amount of money. The name and condition of the victim, who was taken to a local hospital for her injuries, was not being released Saturday.
