Waterloo Teen Gets Federal Sentence

A Waterloo teenager has been sentenced to federal prison time on gun charges, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 19 year old Christopher Roby, Jr was given three years and five months in prison for a charge of drug user in possession of a firearm. Roby was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a high speed chase in Waterloo back in August of 2018. Whe the vehicle finally stopped police found a .38 caliber Charter Arms Goldfinger revolver under Roby’s seat. They also found half an ounce of marijuana. Roby had prior convictions for drugs, sexual abuse and eluding. Once he has completed his prison term he will also serve three years of supervised release.
