A Waterloo teenager has been sentenced to up to 25 years in prison for a violent home invasion, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 17 year old Taeqwavyon Spates and two others broke into a home on Byron Avenue where Spates held a resident at gun point while the others stole a video game system and a phone. Spates hit the victim with the gun before the thieves left the home. Surveillance video showed Spates holding a handgun on the way in and out of the home.
