Waterloo Police say 16-year-old Tyrese Nickelson was stabbed last Friday afternoon. Nickelson is known as a standout Varsity Basketball player at East High School in Waterloo.
Police say they’re investigating the stabbing, which happened last Friday afternoon around 1:30 at 115 Webster Street.
Tyrese Nickelson had multiple stabbing wounds to his back and a large cut under his left arm. Nickelson was transported to Allen Hospital and then Iowa City Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
