Waterloo Veteran to be Honored at Memorial Day Festivities

A 94-year-old World War II veteran will be honored today at the Memorial Day festivities in Waterloo today. Marcia Courbat served stateside as a nurse during World War II and has made a commitment to honoring fallen veterans in Waterloo. Marcia has placed a flag at the grave of each fallen war hero in Waterloo every Memorial Day and at 94 she still manages the entire operation. Courbat is looking for someone to continue the tradition but wants to make sure her replacement understands the importance of honoring the fallen.
